Becca Solnit prepared an honors thesis for the Dickinson College History Department in 2011-12. She analyzed the efforts of the India Lobby in the United States to gain support for Indian independence during World War II. In many ways the India Lobby is a “forgotten lobby,” and in the course of her project Solnit explores how the Lobby’s two-stage evolution during a unique wartime period illuminates the the strategies and tactics of a developing modern lobby.
