Ingredients
    Wet Ingredients
  • 4 1/2 cup Milk (divided)
  • Dry Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 dash Ground Cloves (optional)
  • 4 stick Cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup Sweetened Shredded Coconut (optional)
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon Powder (For decoration)
Instructions
    Preparation
  1. Gather required and desired ingredients and measure them out.
  2. Divide the milk into 3 1/2 cups and 1 cup.
  3. Cooking
  4. To a pot, add 3 1/2 cups of milk along with the white sugar, brown sugar, cloves, and cinnamon sticks. Stir and bring to a boil over medium-low heat.
  5. As soon as the milk comes to a boil, remove the pot from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. While that rests, mix the cornstarch with the remaining cup of milk until it is completely dissolved.
  6. Once the 5 minutes are over, put the pot back on the stove over medium-low heat. Remove the cinnamon sticks and add the shredded coconut.
  7. Pour the dissolved cornstarch into the hot milk. Continuously stir with a wooden spoon until it thickens and you can see the bottom of the pot.
  8. Final Steps
  9. Immediately pour into a casserole dish and let cool for at least an hour.
  10. Decorate with cinnamon powder.
