The Bosnians in Carlisle and Cumberland County Oral History Project is a research effort by the Dickinson College History Department. Our mission is to record the stories of those living in Cumberland County who emigrated from Bosnia themselves or whose relatives did. We are interested in your experiences both in the United States and  in Bosnia during the conflict in the 1990s.

We are interested in hearing your story. There is no pressure to participate, but we would be honored to record and archive your experiences. Every perspective is important.

We would be happy to work with you on location and time of interview if you wish to be included in this project. The completed interview transcripts and footage will be stored in the archives at the Cumberland County Historical Society, although you will be given full control over the contents and availability of whatever information is recorded.

We sincerely hope that you will consider participating in our efforts to preserve the history of the Bosnian community in Cumberland County. If you are interested, please fill out this form. Feel free to contact us at quallsk@dickinson.edu or by calling Professor Karl Qualls at 717.245.1774 if you have any questions about the project.
