History 404, “US Constitution” with Professor Matthew Pinsker, meets at Dickinson College during fall semester 2015 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 130pm in Denny 211. Course texts include Richard Beeman’s Plain, Honest Men (2010) and numerous journal articles and essays from leading scholars such as Akhil Reed Amar, Clayborne Carson, and Paul Finkelman. Students in the course will produce an online exhibition about the constitutional convention, an online research guide to a historic Supreme Court case, and a major research paper that narrates an episode of major constitutional change.
