In late 1859, Abraham Lincoln produced a short autobiographical sketch for a Pennsylvania newspaper that was profiling potential contenders for the 1860 Republican presidential nomination. Dickinson student Leah Miller has produced this sketch as a documentary short video, using the voice of Dickinson professor Todd Wronski (as Lincoln) and a host of images available inside the House Divided research engine. This is a very short, teachable document. Please check out supporting resources below, including a handout and a C-SPAN video showing how Matthew Pinsker teaches this subject in his classroom at Dickinson.
