I’m passionate about making education more equitable for all, which includes helping to reduce the education debt, meaning schools and educators must recognize that not everyone has equal access to the same opportunities and resources, and so it is an educators duty to help balance out the “playing field.” In addition, I believe that there needs to be a revision to historical curriculum, which would look like teaching history from the non-dominant perspective and allowing voices who have historically been marginalized to be heard. Educational organizations like The Zinn Education Project and EuroClio are two not-for profit organizations that have been working towards these goals.
