Project Storytime
We support children’s literacy through annual holiday book drives.
Noah’s love of reading began at a very young age and his interest in sharing that love of reading through children’s literacy promotion inspired Project Storytime. After defining his vision for the project with the help of the project consulting team, Noah spent summer 2014 as an Idea Fund fellow, where he further developed his project and created the connections needed to organize a successful community-wide collaboration. Noah was placed in an internship with Project Share, a Carlisle food bank, to learn the ins-and-outs of distribution to his target population. As of December 2014, Project Storytime has gained Student Senate recognition as a club and completed its first book drive, raising over 400 books with the help of Whistlestop Bookshop and Pomfret Street Books. In the future, Noah and his team envision reading workshops at the Bosler Library and other Carlisle locations.
