WDCV 50th Anniversary Open House
Stop by WDCV’s Studio for a tour of our digs in the lower level of the HUB. Check out our timeline of WDCV’s history in the hallway leading up to the station. The studio will be open for Alumni DJs so bring some music along or just get behind the mic again and tell Dickinson & Carlisle what you have been up to. Mingle with alums and current DJs, eat some snacks, reminisce, tell us secrets about WDCV that we never would have known……
WDCV 50th Anniversary Reception
This is where we will really celebrate you, the alumni, for getting us here. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres with great company plus music from old radio shows.
Reception will be held in Rector Atrium
***Please RSVP to this event so we can have a count for food. firstname.lastname@example.org ***
What else do we have up our sleeves? We have ordered a big pile of WDCV gear so you can leave Dickinson and promote your love of all things WDCV. We will have free buttons and stickers and we will be selling t-shirts (at very reasonable prices!). All of our great WDCV exec staff and DJs will also be wearing WDCV shirts so ask any of them if you need directions or help finding what WDCV events are going on over the weekend.
Finally, if you haven’t filled out our Alumni Survey yet, please do so! We would love to hear about what you are currently up to and all about your time at WDCV!
Keep connected with us!
See you on September 29th!
Keith Fischer ’02, WDCV’s Sport Broadcasting Advisor, is a humble guy who probably didn’t want to make a big deal about him getting inducted into the Dickinson Sports Hall of Fame for Football…..so he didn’t tell us. The internet is great for finding out these bits of info though, so as we looked at the Homecoming Schedule (WDCV is planning a BIG celebration that weekend for our 50th Anniversary) we noticed this post about the football game.

Hello WDCV Alumni!!
Thanks again for filling out WDCV’s alumni survey and keeping in touch! We wanted to update you on our plans for our 50th Anniversary festivities.
Dickinson College’s Alumni Weekend is just around the corner (June 8th & 9th) and today (May 25th) is the last day to register for the weekend. WDCV will be holding a few events including a live broadcast on Britton Plaza Friday June 8th from 1-3pm and an Open House Saturday June 9th from 1-3pm. It’s not too late to share your personal collection with us! Please email if you have anything you might want to donate to WDCV or make a copy for us to have. If you are coming out for the weekend, bring your stuff along and we can try to make copy while you are here! If you know of any WDCV alums that haven’t connected with us, please forward this on to them too!
We are hoping to connect with a few of you attending from the class of 1962. We are celebrating 50 years right along with you and thank you for helping to get WDCV started!

I can’t even begin to describe how excited I was when I saw that this bulletin board was finally created. (I actually, kinda, hugged it I was that happy) We are so excited about our 50th anniversary and I think this is a perfect illustration of our glee.
Hello WDCV Alumni!
Did you know that this year we are celebrating WDCV’s 50th anniversary? It’s true! We’re planning a big celebration over Homecoming & Family Weekend, so mark your calendars for Sept. 28-30, 2012!
To prepare for our big 5-0, we want to reconnect with the people who have made the station what it is today—our alumni. We have a list of alumni who have noted WDCV as one of their activities; however, there are probably plenty of alumni out there with whom we would love to reconnect, even if they only took a few spins at the station. We hope you will pass this information their way so we can gather as much WDCV history as possible.
Our goal is to gather items to create a WDCV online showcase that chronicles the last 50 fun-filled years. We have been digging through the archives and yearbooks for references to the station. In addition to your stories, we hope you will share any WDCV-related pictures, posters and memorabilia lurking in your garages.
Also, we would love to hear from you about your time at WDCV! To make this the best 50th anniversary, we hope you can help us gather more information about the station by filling out this quick survey.
To share your stories, memorabilia or posters from your days at WDCV, e-mail email@example.com. You may send digital images of photos or memorabilia, but if you would be interested in donating the originals to the archives, send them to us at the address listed on the right. Have any old recordings? We’d love to hear those as well, so feel free to share old shows, stories or recordings. If you have any questions, contact us directly and we will find a way to help!
We hope you will stay in touch with WDCV through our Web site wdcvfm.com and our Facebook and Twitter pages. We are just in the planning stages of the celebration, so we welcome your ideas.
Here’s to 50 years—let’s make this the biggest WDCV reunion ever!
