Hey everyone!
Last night I went with Mike Johnson down to Michaux State Forest to do some night mountain biking. If you’ve never seen that before, here’s a video to give you an idea what it’s like: Crazy!
We even had that cool sountrack.
It was muddy, chilly, and I broke my chain right at the end of the ride but it was still a good time. If you’ve never been mountain biking before and want to give it a try (doesn’t have to be at night), let me know or send a message out to the Dickinson Biking Listserve to get the conversation flowing: just send out an email to biking@lists.dickinson.edu and it’ll blast out to the entire Dickinson biking community! If you’re not on the list yet and would like to be, follow this link: Dickinson biking listserv.
On to the important stuff: This Saturday (TOMORROW!) the shop will be open from 2-4 (at least, we may have it open until midnight if people continue to join us).
Also, next Saturday, the 25th, is our Volunteer Training Day from 1-3. Glenn Peterman and Greg Howard (and we may even bring in other local biking celebrities) will be there teaching us some bike basics and I’ll be there to orient everyone to the shop and shamelessly bribe you with Miseno’s pizza. Let me know if you’ll be coming: biking@dickinson.edu
Finally, tomorrow it’s supposed to be 50 and SUNNY! Get out there on those bikes!
