  • The Handlebar  
  • The sandbags outside the Handlebar are on facilities’ radar to address 
  • Pumps will be maintained through work order requests 
  • Remember to bring your bikes to Handlebar open hours and bring your family! 
  • Green Bike program  
  • Be on the lookout for bike 563 using this chart:

  • Bicycle Friendly University application 
  • Questions to answer for the application:  
  • Assess how many bikes are on campus during an average day 
  • Answer the question about percentage of faculty/staff and students that ride a bike on campus at least 2x/week during optimal weather 
  • GIS questions about centerline mileage 

 

  • Initiatives possibly to be completed prior to the application submission 
  • Complete a PSA through the campus radio station about sharing the road 
  • Online bike registration (work with DPS) 
  • Increase bike “vibrancy” with more organized rides and admissions tours by bike? 
  • Make D-walk a one-way road with bike lane to increase biking/walking safety
