We have been planning this for awhile and finally, finally, we have a new streaming provider. Today we launched our streams (yes, multiple ones!) with Stretch Internet. You should be able to hear the improvement in quality and we have 3 levels of streams so those who can’t connect through the highest connection have other options available. We hope you like this as much as we do because we are positively giddy about it!
Come out to chat with your favorite DJs on Tuesday November 1st from 11am-1pm. Buy Day of the Dead ( Día de los Muertos) treats and listen to music on a crisp, autumn day. We hope to see you all there!
October 11th is the first ever College Radio Day! This is super awesome and we are so excited to participate in it. College Radio Day was created to help showcase the wonderful stations across the country that may be seen as secret gems within in community they serve. Many colleges have been selling their radio licenses to fill gaps in their budget, but once that happens, you aren’t going to get the station back and a void is left on campus and the community. Please support WDCV by listening in and telling others what a great station we are. We love Dickinson & Carlisle and we plan on being around for a long, long time!

A few years ago one of our exec staff ventured over to the Dickinson Archives to find all of the great WDCV items hidden there. I’m not sure why it has taken this long to post them but here is the first batch of them. There are probably 7 or 8 collections we will be posting so stay tuned!
School is here and WDCV is looking for djs to fill our airwaves with delightful tunes! If you are interested in becoming a dj (or returning from last year) you can stop by the WDCV table at activities night. WDCV will be having weekly ‘Live on Britton Plaza’ broadcasts throughout the month of March to raise funds for Carlisle C.A.R.E.S. Carlisle C.A.R.E.S is a wonderful organization “whose mission is to provide shelter to homeless individuals and families when no other shelter can be found.” WDCV will be holding bake sales and craft sales as well taking general donations. All of this will lead up to our fundraising festival on April 2nd on campus. Please come out to Britton Plaza to enjoy fun music, tasty treats and raise money for a worthy cause!
