Dickinson College and the University of Bremen look back on more than 25 years of good and trustful cooperation. However, we are constantly trying to enhance the program and offer new ways in which our students and alumni can take advantage of the unique opportunities that Germany, Bremen – and in particular – the University of Bremen offer. A great example hereof is aimed at Dickinson’s alumni.
Over the last few years, Dickinson College has gradually expanded the number of Master’s programs at the University of Bremen – most of them in English – in which applications of Dickinson alumni will be considered with priority. This gives former Dickinson students the chance to continue their studies in Bremen, explore new academic perspectives, deepen their understanding of the host culture, country, and language, and gain a valuable degree from one of Germany’s top-rated universities.
Currently, the Dickinson-in-Bremen program has signed Master’s Agreements with the following Departments:
-
MS Business Studies
-
MA Professional Public Decision Making
-
MA Ecology
-
MA Media Culture
-
MA Transcultural Studies
-
MA Germanistik
-
MA Linguistik / Language Science
-
MA Transnational Literary Studies
Applicants must be official alumni of Dickinson College, must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, plus for programs not taught in English – a German language certificate (TestDaF 4×4 or equivalent).
The deadline for sending applications to the Academic Director in Bremen, who will pre-evaluate and forward them to the respective Uni Bremen authorities, is November 1st for the year to follow. For further information please do not hesitate to contact
