416 wasted meals (500 lbs)

The farm is joining forces with Dining Services this Fall 2022 semester to raise awareness on campus food waste. A compost display launched on August 29th, just in time for the first day of classes, set up with a Reduce Food Waste contest. We challenge students and other Dining Hall patrons to use Pick Your Portion language and clean their plates!

Clean Your Plate! How to enter:

Take what you need and clean your plate. Before you return your empty or near-empty plates to the collection bins, take a photo and post it on your Instagram story. Make sure to tag @dickinson_farm and @diningservices with the hashtag #cleanyourplate.
Make sure your account is public. Raffle winners will be chosen every two weeks – keep a look out in your DMs!
