Aidan and I took the Circle Line to go to Notting Hill yesterday. After walking around the very posh residential areas, we got to Portobello Road, and looked at the many vintage shops, bookstores and antique stores on that street. We thought that Notting Hill was very pretty and we could tell that the flats were probably very expensive. Most of the people walking around us where young and were dressed very trendy.
Because it’s not a particularly historical area, but more modern than anything, we could not find any monuments or statues but we did find a plaque on a house where George Orwell lived.
