Двина разлилась и затопила немецкий берег на 500 шагов. Во время постройки землянки меня ранило кирпичом в шею. Не могу повернуть головы. Я сдал эскадрон штаб-ротмистру Жадкевичу и еду к коноводам.

The Dvina overflowed and flooded the German riverbank by a measurement of 500. While constructing  the dugouts, I was injured in the neck by a brick. I cannot turn my head. I turned command of the squadron over to First Lieutenant Zhadkevich and I am heading to the horse handlers.
