Накануне делали опыты: человек, винтовка, 15 патронов и 2 ручные гранаты на воде держались легко. Патроны, винтовки и гранаты были густо смазаны салом. Янишевский – молодчина и храбрец большой, только плавает неважно. Так и вышло. В темноте пловцов разбросало, и он довольно скоро вернулся, а 3 человека унтер-офицеры Разгоняев, Корчагин и Манкевич ступили на немецкий берег и бросили в немецкий патруль бомбу.
