Сегодня приехал из Петрограда ротмистра Литовского уланского полка Демьянок и говорил, что в столице ужасы. Толпа отняла у него шапку. Солдаты и толпы вооруженного народа бродят по городу. Правительству верны пока Лейб-Гвардии Семеновский и Финляндский полки. Образовалось какое-то временное правительство. Позорный мир грозит стране. Убито много офицеров, а мы здесь ничего не знаем. Почему не вызовут с фронта верные войска? Надо разогнать бунтующих и шкурников.

Today Demyanok of Captain Litovsky’s Uhlan Regiment arrived from Petrograd and said that things are a nightmare in the capital. The crowd took his hat from him. Soldiers and crowds of armed civilians are roaming the city. The Semyonovsky and Finland Guard Regiments of the Imperial Guard are loyal to the government for now. Some kind of provisional government has been formed. Disgraceful peace threatens the country. Many officers were killed, and we knew nothing about it here. Why are the loyal troops not being summoned from the front? These rebels and self-seekers must be dispersed.
