Вместо похода пришел приказ исключить из списков полка всех сверхштатных людей и лошадей. Так как они дают нам силу – 16 рядов во взводе, то без них вряд ли будет 11 рядов. Сегодня по случаю праздника дня Восшествия на престол Государя Императора занятий нет.

Time goes by. 9 warrant officers arrived from the Page Corps. We have too many officers; there are enough for 3 regiments.

Instead of continuing our campaign we received an order to exclude all supernumerary people and horses from the regiment’s records. Since they are strengthening us—16 ranks in the platoon—without them there will hardly be 11 ranks.
