Прибыл в землянки стрелкового полка, которым временно командует подполковник Кокоша. Мне в командование назначен 11-ый эскадрон. Здесь хорошо – гусары лихо отдают честь, порядок и тишина. Все гусары 6-ого эскадрона просились в мой эскадрон. Мы сейчас в тылу, и от передних позиций в 4 верстах.
