Вчера в 11 часов вечера нас сменили после 8-дневного сидения в окопах. На участок сели Каргопольсике драгуны, 1-ый, 5-ый и 6-ой эскадроны. Меня приказом по дивизии назначили офицером-делегатом для связи с Вышегородским отрядом, и я должен был бы сегодня ехать на тот берег Вислы, но так как переправа у Червинска не действовала, а идти на Ново-Георгиевск через мост было очень далеко, то я пока в эскадроне и еду завтра.

At 11 pm yesterday we were relieved after eight days of sitting in the trenches. The 1st, 5th, and 6th squadrons of Kargopolsky Dragoons arrived. Per orders I was designated the officer-delegate on matters of communication with the Vyshegorodsky brigade. Today I was supposed to leave for the other shore of the Visla, however the crossing near Chervinska was nonoperational and it was too far to travel to Novo-Georgievsk over the bridge, and so I am still with the squadron and will leave tomorrow.
