Теплый, а к вечеру туманный день. Газет нет, и что делается на всем свете- не знаю. Новый Год я не встречал и как задумал лечь спать в 10 часов, так и сделал. Начал лечить зубы в Ней-Беверсгоф, где при штабе полка лазарет с зубным врачом.

It was a warm day, but foggy in the evening. There are no newspapers, and I do not know what is happening elsewhere in the world. I did not celebrate the New Year; I planned to go to sleep at 10 o’clock, and I did just that. I began having my teeth treated in New Bevershof, where there is a field hospital at the regiment headquarters with a dentist.
